First, find a suitable creature to tame. As with any new endeavor, it is best to start small and work your way up. Target a creature and, once you are in taming distance, type “tame.” If you have enough skill you have a good chance of taming the critter. Bending a wild creature to your will doesn’t come quickly or easily for the relatively unskilled. It takes time and effort so be prepared to spend some time trying to tame your target. As your skill grows, taming a pet takes less and less time and you are able to tame larger and more difficult creatures. As with many skills, practice definitely helps.

To be a successful pet owner you must feed your pet and bandage it when it’s hurt. In this way your pet’s Loyalty increases, making it more willing to execute your commands.
Your pets may start off small, but raising this skill leads to bigger and better pets, and eventually even mounts, so though taming and training the perfect pet can be a time consuming process, it is well worth the time and effort.
