This new game soon to be released is different than most MMORPG games on the web today. Firstly, it’s a monthly subscription, a lot of people will say that it is nothing new here, however if you look at the growing number of MMORPG games that have moved on to a free play system, with perks for those who pay, it is quite a refreshing feeling.

Those games that base their mechanics around the free play system, only really taunt you in the end. The bonuses offered to paid players is so significant, that a free player can not even hope to ascend beyond that of a ‘New Player’.

The Mortal Online Characters for this game are unlike most systems that I’ve ever seen in MMORPGs. However, sometimes change for the sake of change, is a mistake. Yes, anyone who’s played a game has at one point stated some kind of improvement to the game, or what they believe is an improvement. But unfortunately, this game may take that initiative a little far. They’ve bridged the gap between separate avatars, and the focused play style of a single avatar game, by introducing what they call the “Shared Soul”, which basically means that what you do on one character, will impact the other characters on your account.

You may learn a skill on one character, and use it on another from the sounds of it. Though the “Shared Soul” system will not have an impact on your character customization capabilities it seems, as a variety of races and classes are available.
